Discover All Warp Trotter Locations in Honkai: Star Rail

As you traverse the expansive universe of Honkai: Star Rail, you will encounter a variety of elusive creatures called Warp Trotters. These quivering pig-like entities are reminiscent of the Metal Slimes from the Dragon Quest series. Difficult to catch and even more challenging to overcome, Warp Trotters grant substantial rewards when defeated.

Warp Trotters

Warp Trotters

Warp Trotters are special creatures encountered in Honkai: Star Rail that provide significant rewards upon defeat. Much like the fabled Metal Slimes of Dragon Quest, they are elusive and quick, making it a true challenge to capture them. However, the rewards are well worth the effort, offering valuable items and currency.

These creatures are scattered across various regions in the game, and each one appears only once. Knowing their exact locations and how to approach them is crucial for a successful hunt.

Herta Space Station Warp Trotters

Herta Space Station houses three Warp Trotters, each located in different zones. The first can be found in the Storage Zone. To locate it, head to the first-floor room situated in the bottom-left corner of the map. This Warp Trotter is a bit hidden but can be captured with some effort.

In the Supply Zone, another Warp Trotter awaits. You will find it in a middle antechamber, a location visited during the “Sensitive Beings” Side Mission. Finally, the Base Zone holds the last Warp Trotter of the Herta Space Station. It is found near the crook of the left hallway close to the top of the map.

Outlying Snow Plains

Outlying Snow Plains

Moving to Jarilo-VI, the first Warp Trotter can be found in the Outlying Snow Plains. This region features a Crimson Calyx, which relates to the Path of The Hunt Ascension Materials. The Warp Trotter is situated near this key feature.

Searching around the Crimson Calyx will reveal the Warp Trotter. This area can be a bit tricky due to its environmental challenges, but patience and exploration will be rewarded with a successful capture.

Backwater Pass and Silvermane Guard Restricted Zone

In Backwater Pass, the Warp Trotter is located near an initially inaccessible area during the main story progression. Once the area becomes accessible, the Trotter will be found lurking nearby. This specific location requires a bit of backtracking but is easy to spot once you gain access.

Similarly, in the Silvermane Guard Restricted Zone, look for the Warp Trotter hidden in a southern alleyway close to an Energy Construct. This area is significant in the main storyline, which makes it a notable place to revisit for Warp Trotter hunting.

Other Regions in Jarilo-VI

Other Regions in Jarilo-VI

The Corridor of Fading Echoes hosts another Warp Trotter, located in a southwestern alleyway. This Trotter is relatively more straightforward to find but equally rewarding, making it a must-visit area during your journey.

On Everwinter Hill, after the initial encounter with Cocolia, you can find the next Warp Trotter. It appears on the path leading to the Cavern of Corrosion, making it an opportune moment to capture while progressing through the storyline.

Rivet Town and Great Mine

Rivet Town also holds treasures in the form of a Warp Trotter, which can be located in a southeastern alleyway. This area leads to a Formidable Foe, providing both a challenge and reward in proximity.

In the Great Mine, the Warp Trotter is concealed around derelict storefronts and housing in the northern section of the map.

Robot Settlement

Near the southern tip of the Robot Settlement map, you will find the final Warp Trotter of Jarilo-VI. It is located near Svarog and Clara, making it another storyline-adjacent capture point.

This area can be revisited after progressing further in the game for an easy capture opportunity. Make sure to explore thoroughly to make this Warp Trotter hunt a success.

Exploring the Xianzhou Luofu

On the Xianzhou Luofu, six Warp Trotters can be found, with potential for more as additional maps are unlocked. The first one lies in Cloudford, specifically in the northern part of the map. Use the northernmost Space Anchor and head south down the stairs to uncover it.

Stargazer Navalia houses the next one in a locked room, which becomes accessible upon revisiting the area. Use the central Space Anchor in the southern portion of the map and open the previously locked door to the north to find it.

Divination and Artisanship Commissions

The Divination Commission features a Warp Trotter easily spotted in the southern section of the map. It is near a Hexanexus puzzle, making it a notable location for both puzzle enthusiasts and Trotter hunters.

In the Artisanship Commission, another Warp Trotter awaits. After defeating the Abundant Ebon Deer in the main storyline, return to the battle stage and continue south on the map to locate it.

Alchemy Commission and Scalegorge Waterscape

Alchemy Commission and Scalegorge Waterscape

The last Warp Trotter in the Alchemy Commission can be found on the second floor. Approach this area from the right side to easily spot the creature with its back turned, allowing for a successful capture.

Finally, in the Scalegorge Waterscape, the Warp Trotter appears in the rightmost part of the map following the battle with Phantylia the Undying. With these captures, you will have successfully tracked down all known Warp Trotters in the game.

Strategy to Defeat and Capture Warp Trotters

Warp Trotters are known for their speed, allowing players only two turns before they flee. To counter this, use characters wielding Physical, Imaginary, or Quantum attributes. These abilities enable you to swiftly attack and inflict a Weakness Break on the Trotter, preventing its escape.

Having two to three characters with these attributes in your team is recommended for a successful hunt. Free-to-play characters like Physical Trailblazer, Natasha, and Qingque can be effective. Characters from the Gacha, such as Sushang, Clara, Welt, or Seele, offer even better chances.

The Benefits of Hunting Warp Trotters

Warp Trotters are a treasure trove in Honkai: Star Rail, offering substantial rewards. Once you defeat them, they do not reappear, making each encounter unique and crucial.

You can monitor the areas with remaining Warp Trotters by checking the Treasures drop-down menu on the map screen. This feature helps ensure you do not miss any opportunities, making your exploration both efficient and rewarding.
